Verde Tea is easy to miss. Just off Castro on Villa, it a dimly lit Boba tea place behind a worse-for-wear door. The interior is unremarkable 1990s style , and the nondescript wooden chairs show the years of wear. But does a worn chair really feel any less comfortable and a brand new chair? Well, maybe sometimes yes, but here its OK.
Jazz plays quietly. Things are clean. The woman behind the counter is not trying to be a hipster, and makes sure she gets our order right.

I got "normal" Boba in my tea. Scott tried the "popping" Boba. He tells me that it really does pop, but you loose out on the traditional Boba chewiness. I think you should stick to the standard Boba unless you really must try something new.
What can you say about a perfectly good Boba place? The Boba teas are no better or worse than most Boba places. The decor is a bit out of date, but so what? The service was good, and that counts for a lot. Tea Verde doesn't try too hard to be cool and is just a good place to relax with a friends or catch up on your homework. Isn't that just what you need more of the time?
